Free Housing Scheme Begins
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched the free housing scheme, aiming to provide homes for those who cannot afford land. She stated, “It is my dream that every citizen of Punjab has their own house.”

CM Punjab Meets First Lady of Turkiye
CM Punjab met H.E. Emine Erdogan, First Lady of Turkiye, in Islamabad. They attended the Circular Economy Ceremony under the Pakistan-Turkiye Partnership for Sustainability. CM Punjab inspected various stalls with the First Lady and expressed her deep interest in the exhibits.
Suthra Punjab Program
CM Maryam Nawaz also addressed the Circular Economy Ceremony, highlighting the importance of cleanliness and environmental protection under the Suthra Punjab Program. She stated, “Clean Punjab is not just a policy; it is a vision for a better future.”
Key Features of the Suthra Punjab Program:
- Budget: Rs. 120 billion allocated
- Employment: Over 100,000 job opportunities to be created
- Daily waste generation: 57,000 tonnes across Punjab
- Largest door-to-door waste collection program introduced in Lahore
- Expansion plans: Extending this facility to all urban areas of Punjab
She emphasized that public-private partnerships will bring innovation and efficiency to the sanitation system. Investment in the Clean Punjab project will provide long-term environmental and economic benefits.
