Punjab Announces 23,000 Recruitment for School ?
In a bold and strategic move to elevate the quality of education across the province, the Punjab government has officially announced the recruitment of 23,000 School Teaching Interns (STIs) in 2025. This massive hiring spree is part of a broader initiative to address the growing teacher shortage and enhance the learning environment in over 2,000 recently upgraded government schools.
The recruitment drive, which is expected to roll out in August 2025, will focus on placing qualified interns in schools that have undergone structural and educational upgradations based on recommendations from Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) and community leaders. This marks a significant leap forward in strengthening the provincial education workforce.

During the previous administration, over 1,229 primary schools were successfully upgraded to elementary and high school levels, significantly boosting educational accessibility. Now, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, an additional 800 schools are set to be included in this wave of improvements, necessitating a larger teaching force to match the scale of development.

Lahore alone will benefit from 51 of these upgraded schools, making the capital city a central hub for STI deployment.
